the pace is too fast / you just wont last

chemically we are the same.. or are we? biologists will say since our dna are different, we are still not exactly the same. some have more fats, others have more muscles. so different! so are we or are we not?

does it depend on the circumstances. lets say youre going for an interview. keep this thought in mind and im willing to bet you wont get a called up a second time. haha.. but is this statement even true?

should we be settling to be average, the same as everyone else?

do we each possess the potential to stand out?

donuts.

look at them yummy donuts, fresh from batam.. tiramisu flavour siaaa..

hahaha. act enthu. but thanks to VI, whos friend brought them over, for sharing them.. makes me wanna go try out all those famous donuts everyone (read: fi) keeps raving about... if only they were so calorie laden.. and protein-less.. hahaha. sound so himbo lah. my friends can testify to me eating junk food lor. so its not i dont.. =)

monday blues.

you know youre suffering from monday blues when you:

1. wake up at 0430H with a crazy-itchy all-over-the-body rash and cant get back to sleep, so you take anti-histamine, which take another hour to produce effects.

2. wake up late and STILL groggy and whoozy because of the pills.

3. reach the check point of jurong island and realise your JI card has expired and thus have to extend it, driving two rounds around the check point like an idiot.

4. have to wait for half an hour to extend the said card, only because you cut the queue with your friends who have been waiting since 0830H for an hour longer.

5. start to itch again as the rash acts up and you resort to another anti-histamine pill.

6. reach office and realise your building access pass has also expired.

7. now look like a diseased freak with blotches of red all over that itches terribly, and you know you'll fall fast asleep from the pills..

M’sian researchers create nuttier Viagra alternative

KUALA LUMPUR—
Malaysian researchers claim they have created a nutty, healthier alternative to
Viagra based on walnuts. Researcher Kim Kah Hwi, who headed the team from the
University of Malaya, said he was inspired to look into walnuts after reading
about their use in history, The Stardaily reported yesterday. “I read articles
about the Romans and French having eaten walnuts for this purpose. I thought if
it had been documented that long ago, there surely has to be something there,”
he said. It took Mr Kim and his research team two years to develop N-Hanz,
tablets which contain walnut extract and have shown positive results on 40
volunteers against erectile dysfunction. “It takes about an hour for the effects
to set in and lasts for about four hours,” he said. “Furthermore, as it is not a
drug, it is safe for those with hypertension or diabetes, or (those) who have
recently had heart bypasses,” he added. Some volunteers had undergone bypass
surgery, he said. The active ingredient in the tablets is an amino acid called
arginine, which is absorbed into the body and converted into nitric oxide. “This
enlarges blood vessels and enhances blood flow to the penis,” Mr Kim said. The
newspaper said N-Hanz had won a gold medal for best invention at a recent
technology and invention exhibition in Malaysia, while Mr Kim said it had been
approved by Malaysia’s health ministry. --AFP

read the above article in monday, 4 june's edition of today. note the active ingredient, the amino acid arginine. which the body processes into nitric oxide. omg! thats like the supplement im comtemplating on taking lah. i dont take much of these supplements anyway. but good friend MV was saying that the protein powder were taking isnt really formulated to improve recovery. so guess we need something more. haha. but none of my research yielded the above discovery leh!!! its promoted to improve recovery by supplying more blood to the muscles to provide increased nutrients and to flush away wastes. bonus effect is the muscles looked pumped up. but noone realised the effect will be similar to some other muscle? hur hur! or is it just another "added benefit" that everyone knows but noone mentions? ;)

blue da ba dee.

funny how my clothes today reflect how im feeling inside. ive got on a blue shirt and blue jeans. so blueeeee...

i guess ill admit im disillusioned. jaded. why so? its not even happening to me! so my bestfriend is like my left arm. thats why aint it? how about my other bestfriend? my right arm? no wonder i feel like helping him. but yet part of me says somethings wrong. part of me wants to share his joy. yet part of me wants to warn him, to guard his heart from the possible shattering. and i know he wont listen. why? coz i was like that once. looong ago, before i hardened from the constant influx of stimuli. from the inevitable defences i have to set up to protect myself.

gah! sound so emo. im not lah. i think im just suffering from exercise-lack-of syndrome. ahhh well..

i realised my life recent has become very routine. i need some injections.. no, not the syringe that kind, but something instilling, something fun... maybe its right in front of me already and i dont realise? i think i need to open my eyes. wider. WIDER! hahahah..
