its been almost a month since the smoking ban came into effect on 1 july. considering i have been partying quite a bit, its quite clear what my stand is on the ban..when you walk into a club, any one for that matter, the first thingnthat strikes you would be the air. suddenly, every thing smells so good, comparatively of course. visually, it seems like a thick veil has been lifted from in front of your eyes, like you have been given a new lease at sight.
through your olfactory detectors, you detect a new scent of clubs, one that you have never experienced before, except if you work at a club and was responsible for opening. lolx. you can even smell that drink in your hand!
and these effects run long after youve left the club. you dont experience watery, tired eyes. sniffing your clothes wont bring you into a choking frenzy, gasping for oxygen. your parents now wont know if youve been clubbing by smelling you!!! hahahaha..
but on the downside. have you noticed, that with this ban enforced, while the air inside clubs dont stink with smoke, a new stench has emerged. and its threatening to take over the party world! brace yourself for theres a new kid on the block.
body odour has launched its attack with vengeance. what had previously gone undetected until you roll about in bed with that tall, dark stranger, is now an annoying glare (to me only?). yes, i know dancing about makes your sweat. but you wont stink like you havent had a shower right? its not just a public place. you are in such close proximity with others, have the decency to shower first and spray on that cologne before heading out lah!!!
no wonder some people have been complaining guys are dirty creatures. dont ruin our reputation any longer, please!
