finished work, i went to town to look for it. first searching taka. couldnt find.. next place i thought of was toys'r us.nearest? vivo scoured..drove there and scoured the whole place, only to realise that particular branch was so small! was more like a typical toy store than toys'r us! ended up walking the rest of vivo looking for some gift shop that may carry, but to no avail.. went back to hall dejected..
back in hall, i casually asked sean if he had any ideas. he mentioned buying from the toys'r us branch at forum a few months back! rejuvenated, i left work early and was told... out of stock! all they had left was a disgustingly simple hand puppet that looked more like some glove! argh. since my parking ahd already be paid for the hour (and only 15 minutes had passed), i took a walk, heading in the general direction of orchard road. stopping by at lido isetan, i headed straight to the toys department.
and behold! the elusive it!! it was kind of small, i could see from the sample, but the thing was packaged in a thin box, encouraging kids to buy to send them by post to a friend! there was even an elmo version, in two different sizes..
thinking for a moment (which took exacvlt all of 5 seconds, lolx), i bought it and while queueing to pay for it, started to think of how i could present it. i settled with removing the outer layer, leaving only a non-descript box on the seat..
upon seeing it, she gave a cute smile, and place everything behind. afterall, it was taking up space on the seat. :p she said she rather opened it at home. inside, i was thinking i definitely wanted her to open it in my presence so i could see her reaction. lolx.
halfway, she exclaimed that she was stepping onto something underneath her seat.. reaching for it, she gave a squeal! coz it had a picture of it on the front! oh my gosh! how could this happen man! haha..
she noticed a picture that resembled the package she had placed at the back just a few minutes ago. putting two and two together (that makes four by the way.. i helped you count! :p), she looked at me as i insisted she opened the present already.
looking at her grin in delight and hugging it sure brought a warmh to my heart. but what a way for her to find out.. and i wanted the surprise to be revealed only when she opened.. not before! lolx..
and so.. that's how it went.. it got found.
